The persistence of De may and his secrets pumping hands

The injury has opened for De may new opportunities in training

Of course, the technique that was used in their training most of his sporting life, berry de Mey, a famous bodybuilder and charismatic athlete, was not unsuccessful. At the age of twenty years he won thanks to this technology the title of champion in his native Netherlands, and a few months later with the same unfailing certainty went to the European championship, where he was prepared for no less a surprise: the first place in heavy weight. A year later, berry decided to work on improving their abilities and took part in the world championship, where he again was expecting "lady luck": a prestigious second place. And in 1984, the scenario repeats itself: again the second place at the world Cup.

This berry is not stopped. A year later he participated in Mr. Olympia contest, being on the same platform with himself Arnold! But it does not bother, and he was again able to show its most worthy hand, won the sixth place. And in 1988, another huge success: Barry took a deserved third place!

Reaching the status of one of the most successful athletes in the world in bodybuilding, de may expect trouble: an injury which he received in one of the competitions, prompting the athlete to undergo the treatment necessary for recovery in the hospital. The right breast muscle could not withstand heavy load and broke as too much of a stretched string.

While in the hospital, de may not just remember the words of Arnold, who once suggested that those athletes who train really correct, a priori protected from injury. This phrase made de may much to revise in its approach to training, think about where he might have made a mistake that led to the injury.

Gradually, the muscle healed and berry had begun to return to training, using methods that promised a quick return to the previous state. And here berry was expecting a revelation that has changed his idea about training.

Remembering his training, before the injury, de Mei suddenly found himself realized that he was related to the categories of athletes who can be called naive. And all because earlier progressfor it depended only on the intensity of training, by which he understood as many as possible heavy weights. He increased the intensity of training, based on the fact that the more heavy the weights are, the higher is the growth rate of muscles.

After the injury, berry has often watched the training of other athletes and discovered a new approach. It turns out that intensity is a combination of three completely different meaning factors: the number of sets, rest in between and the magnitude of the weights. The magnitude of the weights is logically the end of a workout. Given the above factors, the intensity must increase primarily through increasing the number of sets or their variations, followed by gradually reduce the rest intervals between exercises.

Approach to exercises for hands

Discovering a new approach to training, berry came to the conclusion that the first sets of each of the following exercises must be inserted between the last sets of the previous exercise. As a result, all exercises are one set for a long long 45 minutes.

Being a true professional of his craft, de Mey always begins practice with warm-up. It consists of a number of simple exercises on a block device, and then Barry goes to the bending hands with a barbell. The main goal pursued by de Mey is to perform this exercise, despite its complexity. The athlete acknowledges that sometimes runs it to the limit, but it gives him a chance not to use after this critical weight, but only to "finish" weary biceps. The main rule, which focuses on the berry is medium grip and slow, filled with a maximum voltage of the movement.

Then berry starts to alternate bending of the arms with dumbbells. Here again, the rule "uklanjanja" the first two sets and between the last.
