A variety of proteins — great product for muscle mass?

In every athlete's diet must include products high in protein. Protein shakes are classified as such products, and it often happens that athletes are not easy to navigate in the variety of their choice, provided by a variety manufacturers in specialty stores.

Proteins can be classified based on the following principles:

  • source of origin;
  • the degree of purification;
  • the speed of learning.

In accordance with the classification in the former proteins are animal and vegetable origin. The first group includes egg, meat and dairy proteins, second wheat and soy. There are also subspecies of milk protein — albumin and casein. The degree of purification, the proteins are divided into concentrates containing from 60 to 90% protein isolates are characterized by higher rates — 90% and above. As for the speed of assimilation of protein by the body, takes the leading positions whey protein, albumin, and the slow is casein.

Each group of protein has its advantages and disadvantages, so the athlete is difficult to find a protein that would best suit the needs of his body. For example, long-term effect of casein athlete has to put up with the poor speed of absorption. Whey protein, on the contrary, is absorbed rapidly, but its effect is very short. Protein with a high degree of purification often overshadows the potential buyer of its value. Moreover, deep cleaning results in loss of some protein components inherent in the concentrates.

However, do not despair because there is a solution. A variety of proteins offered by the manufacturers of sports nutrition, contain different types of protein to take advantage of each of them. During muscle building the value of such a product is difficult to overestimate. In addition, a variety of proteins are not limited to the contents of only one protein, usually about 25% of their composition represent fats and carbohydrates. What is the rationale of this integrated approach? Using carbohydrates the body gets a boost of energy, thanks to which amino acids promote the growth of muscle tissues.

Therefore, carbohydrates are essential as a component of a protein shake. It is preferable, however, that this component was not represented by sucrose. In addition, the protein mixture of different types in combination with the energy element is a great product for muscle growth.
