May 1971 – the date of birth of the famous Russian bodybuilder. Sports story of Sergei Shelestova did not start very well. In his very first competition, which was organized on the grounds of the capital city of Moscow, the youngest member Sergey Shelestov took fifth place. It seems like a good result, if not to take into account details of the fact that participants in his weight category was five. In other words, this first outing was a real failure. But the young athlete — bodybuilder does not despair. Failure is just spodvignulo it for more serious work. The athlete went to Saratov, where on the large amount of free time becoming more heavily involved in bodybuilding. Thanks to this zeal, the results were immediately improved.

It is possible to track since 1995, when Sergei takes the sixth place in the championship of Russia. At about this same time the bodybuilder met his future wife, a resident of Saratov. It is significant that she soon takes 1st place in the fitness competition, and later became the Vice Miss World in the category "fitness".

1998 in his autobiography, Sergei Shelestova can be called a triumph. It was at this time he takes the gold by participating in the European championship bodybuilders. Moreover, he becomes the winner of the championship of the capital, and then Russia. Significant victory inspired Russian bodybuilder to participate in the World Championship, which took place in Turkey. Unfortunately, the athlete falls ill and appears before the audience and the jury in no better shape. Despite the mishap, the Russian managed to win silver, losing the gold medal to Mustafa Hassan, that really surprised with this victory, participants of the competition. But this is not the end shelestovskaya history. A few months later our "homegrown" bodybuilder gets a letter of evidence that Mustafa Hassan took gold in the championship for doping. So our compatriot became the strongest bodybuilder in the world among his own kind.
